I finally have packaging that I LOVE!!

I am so pleased to announce that I finally have a CD package and product bags that I absolutely LOVE!! It has only taken three years to find what I have been searching for!  I think it has turned out fabulous and mimics the Cornfield brand well.  My goal wasn't to have anything too flashy or something that other photographers have...I wanted something unique to Cornfield Photography.  I am super excited about the fabric that was used on the CD cases, for me it reminded me of cornstalks back home and it was a no-brainer...it was THE fabric to use!  Simple elements were used, such as buttons and yarn to create a one of a kind design for the CD cover. 

I can only hope that my clients appreciate the love and time that have gone into my packaging.  I am sure that it will evolve, just like everything else, but its such a great starting point!  I can't wait to deliver my first new package!!

I’m sure you’re thinking…whoa, this schedule is craaaazy!  You know…me too!!  Cornfield Photography is a one man show…I do everything.  Because I do all of my own editing, I definitely need late-night downtime in front of my computer.  As you can tell, weekends are spent shooting weddings and weekdays are spent editing and speaking with clients.  I attempt to answer emails as soon as I receive them and as detailed as I can.  Phone calls are a bit trickier for me…I don’t and won’t answer a phone call on a portrait shoot or at a wedding.  My clients have my full attention when they have me.   During the week, out of respect for you when you call, I won’t answer the phone if my two year old is throwing a tantrum in the background!  Leave me a message and I will call you right back…maybe I’m old fashioned, but I appreciate phone etiquette ;) I’m pretty easy to contact and I usually call back within 24 hours; email is usually easier for me to respond.  Don’t be surprised by my 3am emails either ;)  Hope to hear from you soon!!!

Weddings are back on the calendar!!

I'm back to the crazy and exciting world of WEDDINGS!!  I am so excited to announce that I have now opened my schedule for 2012 and 2013 weddings!  After taking time to stay at home with my daughter, it is now time for me to start back full-time with weddings starting in September.  My little one, sadly and excitingly, will be starting her first preschool sessions this fall.

Since my daughter was born, I've only booked a select few weddings; however, I took this time to work more on my portraiture.  I’ve invested in children’s props and I’ve had fun and learned oodles from doing styled shoots.  I have thoroughly enjoyed shooting the many sweet families that I have met during this time!  I've seen plenty of temper tantrums and I have ended up doing the silly "photographer" things that I've always said I would never do.  Maybe my little one has helped me realize you have to do whatever it takes to get their attention.  I've fallen into cactus, I've ran into parked cars, and fallen into an old feeding trough...all for the best shot!  My calendar is still open to all of my fabulous families and children.  I never thought I would like to photograph children, but I absolutely LOVE it!  Even though I’m back to doing weddings, I’m sharing the love with everyone!
