Website Under Construction!

I am trying not to freak out too much, but man it is killing me that my website is not up and running yet.  I am currently in the process of switching website hosts.  The old host was a little outdated and I feel that the new one will be better suited for today's user allowing more interactions and viewing abilities on mobile devices.  Unfortunately, it is taking a little longer than expected because of the holiday weekend...I need this certain code to transfer the site and one office is closed that has it.  Any-who...not to ramble on...I promise that the site will be back up and running within the next week or two as well as my email.

If you have tried to email me through my domain, www.cornfieldphotography.com, within the past few days, more than likely I have not received it since it is tied to my website host.  Please send all emails to my personal email, kelseydjenkins@yahoo.com until further notice or you may call me at 972.951.1033.

If you have received an invoice from me that has yet to be paid, please contact me for an updated invoice/payment method.  My invoicing system has been switched over to a new system for accounting purposes.  You can also call me to process your secure payment over the phone or by submitting your information here.

One last change...I promise it's all in the best interest of my clients...I am switching to a new gallery system.  I am really excited about my new cart system and can't wait until it is in full swing!

Dallas Aboretum Fall Children's Mini-Sessions

Cornfield Photography is now booking for children's fall mini sessions, which will be held at the Dallas Arboretum during the first week in October! I have a few dates to choose from so everyone can make it ;) If you haven't been to the Arboretum during the fall, I highly recommend it! Ready to book your wedding?

Here is a quick and easy list of what needs to happen in order to book your wedding with Cornfield Photography.  I have streamlined the booking process in order to make your wedding planning quick and simple.  If you have any questions, please let me know!!  The first step...contact me!!  kelseyjenkins@cornfieldphotography.com or 972.951.1033

1) Make sure your date is available...that's THE most important step!
2) Choose your photography package that fits your budget and wedding day needs.  Talk with me or schedule a consulation to determine what is best for your big day.
3) Complete my easy online wedding contract, which takes about 15-20 minutes.
4) Once I have reviewed your contract and everything looks great, I'll send you an invoice and your 33% non-refundable deposit will be due.  Once your deposit has been paid, you're BOOKED and on my calendar!
5) If purchased, we will schedule your portrait sessions at the time of booking.
6) Your two remaining payments will be due 60 days prior and 30 days prior to your wedding day.
7) We will remain in contact with one another as needed until the big day and for several months afterwards until all products have been delivered. 

Portrait Session Options

After learning that not everyone needs the same type of portrait session, I've decided to offer three options.  A "mini-session" for those who just need a few images for a small occasion such as a child's birthday or who for someone who has a small budget.  A "standard session" for those who need plenty of images, but doesn't want to spend all day shooting.  Finally an "advanced session" for those who want "the works" while getting as many images as they can with several locations and unlimted outfits.  I want my clients to feel like they have a choice; with these three options I feel like I've covered all of the bases. 

Of course, prints and products are available for purchase through your gallery, which is why none are included in the packages below.  I don't like adding products to my packages, because you may not want or need it...I like to let you decide once you have your gallery!

How to book your session:
Please RSVP with your requested time slot in your group's forum.  All appointments are every 15 minutes starting at 7:00am and the last appointment at 9:45am. If spots go quickly and you are interested, please request to be added to the wait list…if there is enough people who are interested, another session might be scheduled that evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

**Please arrive 5 minutes early and ready to go! If you miss your appointment, you’ll be re-scheduled after everyone else has completed theirs. Please don’t be late!!

I finally have packaging that I LOVE!!

I am so pleased to announce that I finally have a CD package and product bags that I absolutely LOVE!! It has only taken three years to find what I have been searching for!  I think it has turned out fabulous and mimics the Cornfield brand well.  My goal wasn't to have anything too flashy or something that other photographers have...I wanted something unique to Cornfield Photography.  I am super excited about the fabric that was used on the CD cases, for me it reminded me of cornstalks back home and it was a no-brainer...it was THE fabric to use!  Simple elements were used, such as buttons and yarn to create a one of a kind design for the CD cover. 

I can only hope that my clients appreciate the love and time that have gone into my packaging.  I am sure that it will evolve, just like everything else, but its such a great starting point!  I can't wait to deliver my first new package!!

I’m sure you’re thinking…whoa, this schedule is craaaazy!  You know…me too!!  Cornfield Photography is a one man show…I do everything.  Because I do all of my own editing, I definitely need late-night downtime in front of my computer.  As you can tell, weekends are spent shooting weddings and weekdays are spent editing and speaking with clients.  I attempt to answer emails as soon as I receive them and as detailed as I can.  Phone calls are a bit trickier for me…I don’t and won’t answer a phone call on a portrait shoot or at a wedding.  My clients have my full attention when they have me.   During the week, out of respect for you when you call, I won’t answer the phone if my two year old is throwing a tantrum in the background!  Leave me a message and I will call you right back…maybe I’m old fashioned, but I appreciate phone etiquette ;) I’m pretty easy to contact and I usually call back within 24 hours; email is usually easier for me to respond.  Don’t be surprised by my 3am emails either ;)  Hope to hear from you soon!!!

Weddings are back on the calendar!!

I'm back to the crazy and exciting world of WEDDINGS!!  I am so excited to announce that I have now opened my schedule for 2012 and 2013 weddings!  After taking time to stay at home with my daughter, it is now time for me to start back full-time with weddings starting in September.  My little one, sadly and excitingly, will be starting her first preschool sessions this fall.

Since my daughter was born, I've only booked a select few weddings; however, I took this time to work more on my portraiture.  I’ve invested in children’s props and I’ve had fun and learned oodles from doing styled shoots.  I have thoroughly enjoyed shooting the many sweet families that I have met during this time!  I've seen plenty of temper tantrums and I have ended up doing the silly "photographer" things that I've always said I would never do.  Maybe my little one has helped me realize you have to do whatever it takes to get their attention.  I've fallen into cactus, I've ran into parked cars, and fallen into an old feeding trough...all for the best shot!  My calendar is still open to all of my fabulous families and children.  I never thought I would like to photograph children, but I absolutely LOVE it!  Even though I’m back to doing weddings, I’m sharing the love with everyone!
